Night-Cap: A Male's Perspective

Recently, I was talking to a male friend of mine and we were talking about relationships. He then told me a very interesting story. I feel obligated to share, with his permission.

Ladies pay attention, because gone are the days where men are no longer being attentive. With so many women to choose from, men have become pickier than ever. However, his reaction to this encounter is above justified, because the simple lady-like basics were not addressed.

This is a look inside a males thought process:

So my friend (who of course shall remain nameless) meets a woman, who is several years older than him. At first glance he is attracted to her. She is in decent shape for her age, nice hair, and nice conversation. In their first encounter they spoke briefly and exchanged numbers. He did not tell me the setting, but I will assume it was in a dinner party like atmosphere. Over the next few weeks they spoke sporadically, at times not all. Things of course were hot hot hot in the beginning, but then the newness wore off. One night, they contacted one another and things got a little racy. He suggested he come over and put out the fire, so to speak. Now here is where things get interesting.   

He proceeds to go over her house it is 11:45 at night. He lives 15 minutes away from her. This particular night, it takes him close to an hour to reach her house because of construction. When he does finally reach her, she greets him at the door with an old t-shirt and shorts on, her hair is tied up in a scarf, and she has on her reading glasses. He then walks into the house, which he describes as an older model home, and notices it is messy. He walked passed the living area and noticed in her bedroom (where the action was to take place) unfolded clothes on one side and unfolded towels on the other side. She had a flat screen TV on a dresser with a towel underneath. Her jewelry/toiletries were spread across the dresser not in an armoire or jewelry box. The presentation was unsightly. She poured the wine (that be brought) and they spoke for awhile. After minutes of him being totally turned off. He got up, sighting time as a factor; he invented an excuse of having to get to work early and having a long drive. He asked if they could get together the next evening and started towards the door. Once he was in his car she began to text things like “you’re petty” “grow-up” you’re an a**-hole” and instead of responding he used an application on his Smartphone and blocked her calls and texts indefinitely.

HA! Who was this woman? I can go on for days about her approach to this intimate encounter. But the bottom line is: When a man walks away from free *purr* its’ YOU, not him *sheds a tear* <-from laughter!
