Dime Piece??

I was just telling my friend how much I have physically changed in the last 7 years and asked him to rate me. We all know the rating scale, one to ten. Ten being the best, now often called a "dime". Since my friend has known me for years I begin to grow irritated when he refused to rate me.
I finally asked. "Ok, well would you consider me a dime?" His response was a simple "No". Like any lady, I was hurt and embarrassed. I played it off by laughing. He then said to me "REAL women don't worry about being DIMES because they know REAL men don't carry CHANGE." His opinion is that women who's sole concentration is looking good is not real. He claims that most dime pieces can not maintain meaningful relationships and tend to be superficial.
Debate Time.
Men are so oblivious! Do I get his point? Of course. Do I still want to know that after 30 years and 2 kids I still have it? Absolutely!
So what do you think ladies? Do we sometimes put too much emphasis on being a dime piece? Is there a difference between that and keeping yourself up?
